First figure: Al 10 bars Up a double and back (4 bars). All right-hand turn three-quarters (into line), those who can left-hand turn half-way (into line), all right-hand turn a quarter and face this new partner (6 bars). A2 10 bars Down a double and back. Left-hand turn three-quarters, right half-way, left a quarter. Bl 10 bars Top couple cast into middle place, cross over and go down the outside to bottom place (6 bars). They do a two-hand turn while the others do two changes of a circular hey without hands (4 bars). B2 10 bars New top couple cast, all follow to invert the set, cross over and face (6 bars) Fall back a double without hands; come forward (4 bars). Second figure: Siding, etc. Third figure: Arming, etc.

Written for the Ashford Folk Dancers (Middlesex, not Kent), who have known us for some time and still book us. I borrowed the “right-hand turn three-quarters, left-hand turn half-way” movement from Western American square dancing, where it is known as a Swing Through.
