A1 1 - 4 1st and 2nd couples set and 2 rant steps on spot.
A1 5 - 8 All swing; 1st couple finishing on wrong side, 2nd couple
         finishing proper.
A2 1 - 4 1st man and 2nd lady, 1st lady and 2nd man set and 2
         rant steps on spot.
A2 5 - 8 1st man and 2nd lady, 1st lady and 2nd man swing 1 1/2 to
         finish progressed with 1st couple on wrong side.
B1 1 - 4 1st couple cross over and cast round next pair of twos.
B1 5 - 8 R.H. star once round with new 2nd couple.
B2 I - 4 1st couple slip up inside to original 1st place. All 2 rant
         steps on spot facing partner.
82 5 - 8 1st couple cast off, 2nd couple lead up. All turn single.

Source: Wright's Compleat Collection of Celebrated Country Dances Vol. 1. The instruction “foot it” in the original has been translated as “two rant steps” which will suffice until time or circumstance restores the genuine.
