Part 1
A 1-4   Lead up a double; face partner and set.
  5-8   Couple 1 cast to second place; Couple 2 move up.
        All two-hand turn halfway. End facing down.
  9-12  Lead down a double; face partner and set.
  13-16 Couple 3(at bottom) cast up to middle place;
        Couple 1 move down.
  All two-hand turn halfway. Order 2-3-1

B (chorus)
  1-8   Slipping circles for 6 left and right
  9-12  Top 2 couples: first corners cross;
        second corners cross.
  13-16 Same two couples star right halfway;
        turn single left WHILE Couple 1 (at bottom)
        two-hand turn once round

Part 2
A 1-4   Right shoulder siding into line. Stay in line.
        Set falling back to place.
  5-8   Couple 2 (at top) cast to middle place;
        Couple 3 move up. All two-hand turn halfway.
  9-12  Left shoulder siding into line. Stay in line.
        Set falling back to place.
  13-16 Couple 1 (at bottom) cast up to middle place;
        2’s move down.
        All two-hand turn halfway to own side.
        Order now 3-1-2

Part 3 
A 1-4   Right hand turn halfway; stay close to partner
        Set falling back to place.  
  5-8   Couple 3 (at top) cast down; couple 1 move up . 
        All two-hand turn halfway 
  9-12  Left hand turn halfway; stay close, 
        Set falling back.
  13-16 Couple 2 (at bottom) cast to middle place;
        couple 3 move down. 
        All two-hand turn halfway. (All home)

‘Active Pass “is a narrow passage of water Connecting the Sue: Georgia to the more protected waters of the southern Gulf Islands which are located off Vancouver Island, BC. It is active due to the number of vessels using the pass and very active with eddies and strong currents. The water swirls around and changes direction, much like the activity of the dancers.

The dance is a revised and improved version of an earlier dance, “The Lobster Quadrille”
