Al 1-4 1st wo. & 2nd Man, followed by ptn., cast R. and go CW
half round into each others’ places improper (6 steps),
then cross R. with ptn. (6 steps).
5-8 1st man & 3rd Wo., followed by ptn., cast L. and go CCW
half round into each others’ places improper, then cross L. with ptn.
A2 1-4 1st cpl. meet and lead up into 2nd place, 3rd cpl. casting down into
3rd place (6 steps), then 1st cpl. move up outside 2nd cpl. to finish
close in 1st place, 2nd cpl. meeting and leading down into 2nd place (6 steps).
5-8 1st cpl. fall back (3 steps), then 2-hand turn once round (9 steps).
B1 1-2 Ist cpl cross R. and go down the outside into 2nd place, 2na cpl.
meeting and leading up into 1st place, staying facing up, then
3-5 1st cpl. cast L. (man back up, wo. down) round one to finish on the
centre line, man facing down, wo. up (9 steps), as 2nd cpl. turn towards
each other to change hands and face down (3 steps), lead down, slightly on
the R. diagonal (3 steps) and, releasing hands, turn about L. to face up (3 steps),
as 3rd cpl. meet (3 steps), lead up, slightly on the R. diagonal (3 steps)
and turn about L. to face down (3 steps).
6-8 1st man & 2nd cpl., 1st wo. & 3rd cpl, hands 3, circle R. once round
(9 steps), finishing 1st cpl. facing each other on the centre line, 2nd
cpl facing up, 3rd cpl. facing down.
B2 1-4 1st cpl meet (3 steps) and I-hand turn once and a quarter round
into 2nd place proper (9 steps), staying close and facing up, as
2nd & 3rd cpls. move pack out to end place (3 steps), turn to face
ptn. (3 steps) and turn S. in towards the middle of the set (6 steps).
5-6 1st cpl. lead up through 2nd cpl. and cast out, as 2nd & 3rd cpls. fall
back away from pti. and move forward (3 + 3 steps).
7-8 1st cpl. meet in 2nd place and lead down into 3rd place, as 2nd cpl.
turn 5 up (man L., wo. R.), and 3rd cpl. cast up into 2nd place (6 steps).

Farnicled is a dialect word meaning freckled - as in fern-tickled or marked by the spores of a fern. In the dance title, the final “d” is missing, possibly as a result of incomprehension.
