The original tune, however, In 6/8 gives the dance a less formal feel (b) 2nd tune: Bishop Cross’ Memorial Composed by David as a memorial to friend and erstwhile BBC Producer in the North Region. 4 Heather Towers Modem A dance was written by the contemporary Dancing Master John Lagden to celebrate the 70th birthday of Alan Heather (father-in-law to David), with music by David. The title derives from friends’ name for the Heathers’ house in Hemel Hempstead. ( 2nd tune: Stone Street (also composed by David) Alan Heather lived at 35 Stone Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne, until 1935. 5. From Aberdeen Playford 1698 This arrangement features a quartet of violins with the piano. 7. Jacob Hall's Jig Playford 1695 Again the original tune, not used by Sharp who preferred the dance to the tune “Under and Over". (B 2nd tune: Major Jacob Hall Tune by David - a musical whim, the tune being a variation of the original but in a major key.
