Circle Mixer for Three Couples (partners next to each other)

A1 1-8    Circle 6-hands round to left and back to right
A2 1-4    Partners L-hand turn
   5-8    Partners R-hand turn (end facing center, inside
          hand joined with partner)
B  1-2    All set
   3-4    Partners trade places turning single over
          R-shoulder (R-hand-partner cast outside circle
          while L-hand-partner turn over R-shoulder through
          center) to end facing center with inside hands
          joined with the next
   5-6    All set
   7-8    These people trade places turning single over
          R-shoulder (R-hand-person cast outside circle
          while L-hand-person turn over R-shoulder through
          center) to end facing each other
   9-11   R-shoulder gypsy once round with this new person
   12-14  L-shoulder gypsy once round with the person
          behind you around the circle (your new partner)
   15-16  All face into center (without hands);
          R-hand-partners balance forward and back while
          L-hand-partners balance back and forward (then
          take hands in circle to begin again)

Music: Golden Trout Waltz by Shira Kammen, 2010 Teaching Points: The partner turns in A2 should not be for a specified distance-go as far as the music allows as long as you end home. You could also do this dance as a large circle mixer. For Dave Bartley, in thanks for the many tunes he written for us to use for dances, his wonderful playing on our Impropriety CDs, and his overall good spirit.
