The Irish Swing

MUSIC: 5 or 10 * 32-bar Irish reels
FORMAT: 5 couples longways

A1 Take hands in lines, go forward and back. That again, and as the lines fall
   Back the tops man and bottom lady meet in the middle while the two
   neighbors of each (second and third men, third and fourth ladies move up
   or down away from the center.

A2 Top man bottom lady Irish Swing: Give right hand to corner (keeping arm
   Bent so that elbow is well below hand level), hold partners right elbow with
   your left hand and pivot swing. Meanwhile the top four and bottom four
   Circle left and right, all finishing in lines facing new partner, the working
   couple in middle position.

B1 Lines seven quick to the right: right foot, left slightly behind right,
   right, left behind, right, left behind, right; back to the left with the right
   foot going behind. Do-si-do new partner right shoulder.
B2 Lines step to left and right. Do-si-do left shoulder.

On alternate turns the dance is started by the top lady and the bottom man. After five times through you' should be with your partner but the set is turned upside down. Ring o' Bells play the tune ten times through, which should get you home. Make sure that during the Irish Swing the Line break two and two to make the circles.
