These tunes have many variations in lyrics, but the following seem to more or less fit the music. Pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag, And smile, smile, smile, While you've a lucifer to light your fag, Smile, boys, that's the style. What's the use of worrying? It never was worthwhile so pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag, And smile, smile, smile. =================================== When you wore a tulip, a sweet yellow tulip, and I wore a big red rose, When you caressed me, ‘twas then Heaven blessed me, what a blessing, no one knows. You made life cheerie, when you called me dearie, ‘twas down where the blue grass grows, Your lips were sweeter than julep, when you wore that tulip and I wore a big red rose. =================================== My old man said follow the van, And don't dilly-dally on the way Off went the cart with the home packed in it, I walked behind with me old cock linnet But I dillied and I dallied, And I dallied and I dillied Lost the van and don't know where to roam I stopped on the way to have the old half quartern, And I can't find my way home. =================================== It's a long way to Tipperary, It's a long way to go. It's a long way to Tipperary, To the sweetest girl I know! Goodbye, Piccadilly, Farewell, Leicester Square! It's a long long way to Tipperary, But my heart's right there. =================================== (Likely??) Sons of the sea, bobbin' up and down like this. Over the ocean, bobbin' up and down like this. You can build a ship, my friend, bobbin' up and down like this. But you can't beat the boys of the bulldog breed, bobbin' up and down like this. =================================== Who were you with last night? Who were you with last night? It wasn't your sister, It wasn't your ma, Ah ah, ah ah, Ah ah ah ah! Who were you with last night, Out in the pale moonlight? Are you going to tell your missus, When you get home, Who you were with last night?". =================================== Goodbye Dolly, I must leave you, Though it breaks my heart to go Something tells me I am needed at the front to fight the foe See, the soldier boys are marching and I can no longer stay Hark! I hear the bugle calling, goodbye Dolly Grey
