 It is designed to teach basic English country dance figures and transitions, but it makes a perfectly good dance in its own right. It is an improper duple minor longways dance.

   7-8 Still holding inside hands with neighbor, set right and left falling back.
B2 1-4 Ist couple lead up through 2nd couple and cast down again, assisted by
       2nd couple (‘gates up).
   5-8 Ist couple half figure 8 up through 2nd couple, who change places
