Earlier thay Year, a friend had been knocked down by a trolley car while crossing Beacon Street in Brookline, Massachusetts, Ty;
event inspired the title of the dance. The slipping lines are the trolleys going up and down Beacon Street, the
circle (a slipping circle originally; later revised by Rich to a walking circle) is the ambulance rushing to the 
scene; the half poussettes are the stretcher bearers; and the cast-and-lead figure represents coming out of the 
hospital. (The friend was only slightly bruised).
