Message from the Club President

It is with great sadness, that we have to inform you that Irfôna Larkin died suddenly on December 17 [2015] at home (Citizen obituary).

She had been unwell with flu during the night and told her son that she would go back to bed. At about 11 a.m., he heard her fall and despite calling 911, she did not survive. The cause of death is unknown at this point.

Her family is in Ottawa now and invites you to a time of remembrance on Tuesday, December 23 at Hulse, Playfair and McGarry Funeral Home, 315 McLeod St. Ottawa between 11:00 - 1:00.

Irfôna has been a member and caller for Ottawa ECD for decades. She has been a mentor and role model for new dancers and callers. Her death has shocked us all and she will be sorely missed.
